HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM AND SPEAKING IN TONGUES

(Updated on 01 01 2024)

1- Introduction

Beloved in the Lord, and all of you who read this teaching, peace be with you! I bless the Lord God, the Father of our Master and Lord Jesus Christ, who in His faithfulness grants me the grace to make available to you this teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. Although the teaching of the Bible on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues is not difficult to understand, the agents of satan disguised as servants of God, have sown confusion in the minds of Christians, with the help of false teachings manufactured from the world of darkness. Many Christians, confused by these doctrines of demons, find themselves asking questions that should not be asked. To make this teaching as complete as possible, I will review and answer all the questions that Christians often ask themselves.

2- The Holy Spirit Baptism

Here are the questions Christians frequently ask themselves about the baptism of the Holy Spirit:

- Is there a baptism of the Holy Spirit apart and a baptism of fire apart?

- Who baptizes with the Holy Spirit?

- Where can one be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

- Who can be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

- When can one be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

- Does every true child of God have to be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

- How to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

- Is there a difference between having the Holy Spirit and being baptized in the Holy Spirit?

- Why the baptism in the Holy Spirit?

- Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit a proof of Salvation?

- Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit a proof that one belongs to God?

- Is speaking in tongues a sign of the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

2.1- Is there a baptism of the Holy Spirit apart
and a baptism of fire apart?

Let us read the following passages together: Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, and Acts 1:5.

Matthew 3:11 "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."

Mark 1:8 "I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

Luke 3:16 "John answered them all, "I baptize you with water. But one more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."

John 1:33 "I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.'"

Acts 1:5 "For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

When we examine the verses above, we clearly understand that there is no difference between the term "Baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire" used in Matthew 3:11 and Luke 3:16, and the term "Baptism of the Holy Spirit " used in Mark 1:8, John 1:33 and Acts 1:5.

I would like to draw your attention to what creates confusion. If you look closely at the passages quoted, you will be astonished to find that there is no mention anywhere of a baptism of fire. The Bible speaks of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. But nowhere do you find the expression "baptism of fire".

In conclusion, to speak of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire, or simply of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, is to say the same thing. There is therefore no difference between the two. There are some false teachers who try to explain the baptism of fire, even to the point of explaining when this baptism is received and how to know that one has received it. Run away from all these so-called pastors who try to baptize you with fire, or who promise the baptism of fire. Remember that they are agents of satan. God has not promised any baptism called baptism of fire to any man on earth.

There are also some doctrines of demons that explain that the baptism of the Holy Spirit and of fire are two different baptisms. One (the baptism of the Holy Spirit) being for the children of God, and the other (the baptism of fire) being the fire of Hell for those who disobey God. This enables you to understand that the agents of satan are determined to lead God's children astray. They have created satanic doctrines that have nothing to do with the Sound Doctrine of Jesus Christ.

2.2- Who baptizes with the Holy Spirit?

The Bible teaches us that it is the Lord Jesus Christ Alone who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. He does it as He wills, but it all depends on the readiness of the heart of each person.

2.3- Where can one be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Since it is Jesus Christ Himself who baptizes with the Holy Spirit, He does not need a specific place to do so. As long as the heart of the one who desires the baptism of the Holy Spirit is willing, the Lord can baptise him anywhere. So one can be baptised with the Holy Spirit in a church, during a prayer session, in the waters of baptism, in his room while praying, etc.

2.4- Who can be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Luke 11:13 teaches us that every person with a well-disposed heart before God can be baptized with the Holy Spirit. "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

2.5- When can one be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

When we meditate on the passages of Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8 and Acts 1:5, already quoted, we deduce that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is after the baptism of water. But in Acts 10:44-47 we see a group of brethren who had the privilege of being baptized with the Holy Spirit before the baptism of water.

Acts 10:44-47 "44While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. 46For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, 47"Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have." This makes us understand that the Lord who knows the hearts, can even baptize some of His children with the Holy Spirit before water baptism.

But I would like to warn you against false practices that are found in pernicious sects today. In many of these satanic churches mistakenly called Pentecostal churches, sorcerers distribute what they call baptism in the "holy spirit". They initiate the faithful into witchcraft by teaching them to speak satan's tongues. And when these people are initiated and start speaking these satanic tongues, they are told that they are baptized with the "holy spirit". That is why we meet thousands of hardened people today who speak in tongues, and who believe they are baptized with the Holy Spirit, while none of them has ever been baptized in water.

Beloved, note that what God did in the case of Cornelius and the brethren in Acts 10:44-47, He can still do it today. We cannot be surprised to see some children of God who have the privilege of being baptized with the Holy Spirit before the baptism of water. But these cases are not very frequent. And for those who receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit without being baptized in water yet, when it is the true baptism of the Holy Spirit that they have received, the Spirit of God in them urges them to quickly seek the water baptism.

If you therefore meet people who claim to be baptized with the Holy Spirit, who speak in tongues, and who after all this time have never been baptized in water, but believe they are saved, tell them that it is satan that is using them, and not God. Tell them that it is the demons that speak through them, and not the Holy Spirit. And if you meet people who speak in tongues, but who refuse the baptism of water, just know that they are demons.

2.6- Must every true child of God be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

To answer this question, we will examine, in addition to the passages already quoted, that is, Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, Luke 11:13, and Acts 1:5, other passages such as Mark 16:17, Acts 2:38, and Acts 15:8.

Mark 16:17 "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues."

Acts 2:38 "Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

These passages show that God's promise of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for all His children, and not for just a few. In Mark 16:17, the promise to speak new tongues is made to all those who will believe in Jesus, and not to a few. Acts 15:8 tells us that "God, who knows the heart, showed that He accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them." If God grants the baptism of the Holy Spirit to all who ask Him, including those who do not belong to Him, it is not to His true children that He will not grant it. Therefore, remember that every true child of God must be baptized with the Holy Spirit, and speak in tongues.

2.7- How to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

The passages from Acts 2:1-4 below, and of Acts 10:44 already quoted, show us that we can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit without human intervention.

Acts 2:1-4 "1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."

Acts 8:14-17 and 19:6 show us that one can receive this same baptism by the laying on of hands.

Acts 8:14-17 "14When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. 15When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 17Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit."

Acts 19:6 "When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied." Everything depends mainly on the readiness of the heart of each one.

2.8- Is there a difference between having the Holy Spirit
and being baptized with the Holy
Spirit

It is worth recalling that there is a difference between having the Holy Spirit and being baptized with the Holy Spirit. Whenever a person invites Jesus Christ into his life with an honest heart, the Lord comes immediately by His Holy Spirit to dwell in him. From then on, this person has the Holy Spirit, but is not yet baptized in the Holy Spirit.

The case of Apollos in Acts 18:24-25 confirms this: "24Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. 25He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervour and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John."

We see that he accurately taught the Word of God, although he knew only the baptism of John, that is, he was baptized only in water. Therefore, he was not baptized in the Holy Spirit yet. If he could accurately teach the Word of God, this shows us that it was the Holy Spirit in him who was doing this work. He already had the Holy Spirit, but he was not yet baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Some ignorant people say that it was the day of Pentecost that the disciples received the Holy Spirit. Do not make this mistake. The disciples were baptized with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4), but they already had the Holy Spirit. They had the Holy Spirit when the Lord breathed on them. This is what we see in John 20:19-23. "... And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. ..."

2.9- Why the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

We have just seen with the case of Apollos in Acts 18:24-25, that even without being baptized with the Holy Spirit, a true child of God can understand exactly the word of God, and can even teach it. However, he remains limited. If the baptism of the Holy Spirit were not necessary for our spiritual life, God would not have promised it to us. The Lord knows that without this baptism we will not have the power of the Holy Spirit that will help us to face the various battles that await us on the way. The Lord also knows that without the power we receive with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we will not be able to resist the devil. This is why the Lord had instructed His disciples in Acts 1:4-5 not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait first for the power of the Holy Spirit. It is also for this reason that Aquila and Priscilla in Acts 18:26, took Apollos with them and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

The disciples followed the Lord's recommendations. They first waited to receive the power of the Holy Spirit before beginning the ministry. After the day of Pentecost, the effect of the baptism of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples became very visible. They were filled with power, zeal, anointing, wisdom, intelligence, and courage for the service of the Lord. The apostles who were trembling at every threat, had become completely changed men, clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit. Know therefore, beloved, that you cannot serve God without being clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, do no longer fall into the traps set for you by demons who try to teach you otherwise. At the end of this Teaching, I will give you some elements of discernment to help you identify these agents of Hell.

2.10- Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit a proof of salvation?

Remember beloved, that like all other gifts, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a proof of salvation. In other words, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a sign that one is saved. God gives gifts to men because He wants to, and not necessarily because men love Him. Therefore, under no circumstances must you allow yourself to be deceived by gifts. Know that you can have many gifts, and go to Hell.

If God gave gifts to men because they love Him, the possession of a gift would mean that he who possesses it is saved. But God gives gifts to men rather because He loves men. And each one makes of gifts received from God what he wants. Some use the gifts they have received from God to praise God, others use theirs to make fun of God. This is what justifies the arrogance of men today. They use the intelligence that God has given them to compare themselves to God. They are manufacturing human beings and plants in laboratories; they are trying to make other planets habitable; they are manufacturing sophisticated weapons with which they can fight God when the time comes; etc.

Only those who fear God, who live for God and according to the Sound Doctrine of Jesus Christ, and who use the gifts that God has given them for the glory of Jesus Christ the only Saviour, will be saved. Let it therefore be clear to all, that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a proof that one is saved.

2.11- Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit a proof that one belongs to God?

NO. Not all those who give the appearance of being baptized with the Holy Spirit are seeds of God. Know very well that, as much as the true children of God, seeds of God, receive from Jesus Christ the baptism of the Holy Spirit, so the false children of God can also receive this baptism, when God distributes it. Being baptized with the Holy Spirit, or believing that one is baptized with the Holy Spirit, does not make one a seed of God. So do not fall into the trap of calling all those who are apparently baptised with the Holy Spirit true children of God. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is therefore not a proof that one is a seed of God.

2.12- Is speaking in tongues a sign of the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

Given the importance of speaking in tongues, and given the fact that it has become another weapon that agents of satan use to torment ignorant and unstable Christians, I have found it best to treat it separately, in a complete and detailed way, answering all the questions that Christians usually ask.

3- The Speaking in Tongues

A Christian who does not speak in tongues is a spiritually limited Christian; he is a Christian who cannot fight a real spiritual warfare. Satan loves such Christians, because they do not represent a great danger to his camp.

These are the questions Christians regularly ask themselves about speaking in tongues:

- What is speaking in tongues?

- What is the gift of the diversity of tongues?

- Can one be baptized with the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues?

- Is speaking in tongues taught?

- Can we understand the tongue spoken?

- Should we understand the tongue spoken?

- Does the speaking in tongues evolve?

- Can the speaking in tongues of a child of God cease?

- Can one speak in tongues voluntarily?

- What is the usefulness of speaking in tongues?

- How to practice speaking in tongues in the Assembly?

- Does speaking in tongues make the speaker a true child of God?

- Are there false speaking in tongues?

- How to recognize false speaking tongues?

3.1- What is speaking in tongues?

Speaking in tongues is an excellent warfare tool that the Lord Jesus has made available to His children. It is a very useful gift for spiritual warfare, for intercession, for personal edification, and for the edification of the Church. The promise of this precious gift was given to us in Mark 16:15-18 "15He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; 18they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

We clearly learn from this passage that the Lord has promised the speaking in tongues to all who will believe in His name, and not only to a few people. As a result, we no longer have to ask ourselves whether every child of God must speak in tongues. So do no longer fall into the trap of false teachers who teach that speaking in tongues is not for all believers. Not understanding the word of God, they twist 1Corinthians 12:30, which says "... Do all speak in tongues? ..." to support their going astray. Know that in 1Corinthians 12:10 and 12:28, God speaks to us about the gift of divers kinds of tongues, which has nothing to do with the promise of speaking in tongues that the Lord made to all those who will believe in Him, in Mark 16:17.

3.2- What is the gift of the diversity of tongues?

The gift of diversity of tongues is a gift that gives the one who receives it the ability to speak in different kinds of tongues. This gift is one of those that the Lord distributes to each one individually as He wills. These gifts are different from those that the Lord gives to all His children without distinction. Therefore, do no longer fall into the trap of confusing the gift of speaking in tongues with the gift of diversity of tongues. Let us examine the passages below carefully:

1Corinthians 12:4-11 "4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines."

1Corinthians 12: 27-30 "27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. 29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?"

So understand very well, that if God has not made us all apostles, if He has not made us all prophets, or teachers, if He has not made us all workers of miracles, He also has not made us all people who have different in kinds of tongues. Let this be finally clear to all children of God who fall into the traps of demons who teach that speaking in tongues is not for all children of God. The speaking in tongues is indeed for all children of God. It is the diversity of tongues that is reserved for only a few brothers.

3.3- Can one be baptized with the Holy Spirit
without speaking in tongues?

The answer is No. We have seen by examining Mark 16:17, that the promise to speak in new tongues is for all who believe in Jesus Christ, without exception. Acts 2:4 shows us that all were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues. Acts 10:44-46 confirms this teaching. It was because of the speaking in tongues that the faithful of the circumcision knew that the Gentiles were baptized with the Holy Spirit. Acts 19:6 also confirms this. Acts 8:16-17 confirms the same teaching. How did the brethren know that the Samaritans were not baptized with the Holy Spirit? Because they had not seen this sign that proves that one is baptized with the Holy Spirit, that is, speaking in tongues. When Peter and John laid hands on the Samaritans, they received the Holy Spirit. And how did the brethren know that the Samaritans were finally baptized with the Holy Spirit? Because they saw the sign. Speaking in tongues is therefore the visible sign that one is baptized with the Holy Spirit.

3.4- Is speaking in tongues taught?

Certainly not! Do not fall into this trap. Speaking in tongues is not taught, and cannot be learnt. It is received directly from the Lord. I warn you against witchcraft practices. In many Pentecostal and Charismatic satanic sects, demon-pastors initiate people into witchcraft. They distribute at will what they call "holy spirit" baptism, and they teach people to speak in tongues. Some of them ask people to open their mouths and repeat hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah several times, without stopping, and this ends up becoming their speaking in tongues. Some tell people to open their mouth and say AAA BBB CCC, etc. and to speed up the pace, or to say ABC, many times after, CBA several times as well, speeding up the pace, and all this ends up becoming what they call "speaking in tongues". Know that this practice is an initiation into witchcraft. These witchcraft practices are inspired by satan.

Many times brothers have asked me why in some groups people all speak the same tongues. The answer is simple. If they have all been initiated into the same witchcraft, it is no wonder they all practice it the same way.

All of you children of God, examine now how you received your speaking in tongues. If you have been victims of any of these abominable practices, know that you have been initiated into witchcraft. It is not the Holy Spirit that you have received, but evil spirits. The tongue you speak is not of God. You must repent and ask the Lord to deliver you from these unclean spirits that use you. Then pray and ask the Lord to baptize you with His Holy Spirit, and give you the tongue that comes from Him.

3.5- Can we understand the tongue spoken?

The answer is Yes. The Lord, when He wills, can allow people to hear what we say in tongues. This is what we see in Acts 2:1-11 "1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. 7Utterly amazed, they asked: Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? 8Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language..."

It is here that Jesus for the first time fulfilled this promise of speaking in tongues. The brethren, after being baptized with the Holy Spirit, all spoke in tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Lord to manifest His glory in the midst of the crowd that were in Jerusalem, had allowed thousands of people who were there at that time to hear the tongues that were spoken by the disciples. And this resulted in the conversion of nearly three thousand souls on that day. This does not mean that every time we speak in tongues, people have to hear.

3.6- Should we understand the tongue spoken?

The answer is No. When we speak in tongues, we do not understand what we say, and no one understands what we say, unless the Lord allows it, as in the case of Acts 2:1-11 quoted above. 1Corinthians 14:2 tells us, "For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit." This is also why the Lord asks us to pray for the gift of interpretation. 1Corinthians 14:13 says, "For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says."

3.7- Does the speaking in tongues evolve?

Many brethren ask each time the question of whether the speaking in tongues evolves. In other words, when we speak in tongues, should we speak the same words each time, or does our speaking "improve" over time?

The speaking in tongues is really the speaking in other tongues, as you understand it. 1Corinthians 14:10 says, "Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning." The tongues we speak, even if we do not understand them, are of significance, that is, languages that can be understood. Therefore, if these are real languages then our "mastery" of these languages comes as we use them. 1Corinthians 14:18 says, "I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you."

3.8- Can the speaking in tongues of a child of God cease?

No. The Bible teaches us that God does not repent of His gifts. If it is God who has given you the gift of speaking in tongues, He will not take it away.

3.9- Can one speak in tongues voluntarily?

Many people, because of false doctrine, wonder whether one can speak in tongues voluntarily, or whether it is only prompted by the Spirit that one should speak. Know that if the speaking in tongues is a gift that God has given us, we can use it whenever we want.

3.10- What is the usefulness of speaking in tongues?

3.10.1- Gift of intercession

Speaking in tongues is a wonderful gift of intercession that God has given us. In 1Thessalonians 5:17, the Bible asks us to pray unceasingly. How can anyone pray incessantly if he can pray only by intelligence?

Ephesians 6:18 says, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." How can a Christian put this teaching into practice if he does not speak in tongues? What kind of intercession can a child of God do if he cannot pray in tongues?

Let us read 1Corinthians 14:14-15 "14For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind." God Himself asks us to pray in tongues, and even to sing in tongues. How can He ask us to do such things if we do not have to speak in tongues? So understand once again that every true child of God must speak in tongues.

3.10.2- Gift of personal edification

1Corinthians 14:4 tells us: "He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, ..." This means that speaking in tongues is an excellent gift of personal edification that God has given us. How can you despise such an important gift for your own edification?

3.10.3- Gift of edification for the Church

Speaking in tongues is also a gift of edification for the Church. Whenever the tongue is interpreted, the whole Church receives edification. 1Corinthians 14:4-5 "... He who prophesies edifies the church. ... He who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification."

It is not in vain that the apostles always ensured that all the children of God were baptized with the Holy Spirit.

In Acts 19:1-6, Paul meets a group of Christians. The first question he asks them is whether they are already baptized with the Holy Spirit. Why does Paul make it a priority? Because he knows that a true child of God cannot function without this wonderful gift from God.

3.11- How to practice speaking in tongues in the Assembly?

1Corinthians 14:23 "So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?"

When you visit assemblies today, you see someone with the microphone in hand saying, "Now everybody get up. Let us pray all together in tongues." And as soon as the signal is given, you see them bustling around in the assembly, each one screaming in tongues, and the leader on his side screaming in tongues at the microphone; and you feel like you are in a central market. What madness! And if they were called madmen, some would say, as usual, that they have been insulted. Yet they have just been called by their name, madmen.

What does the Bible say? 1Corinthians 14:26-27 "26What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, two - or at the most three - should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret."

Christians are so blinded today. They do only the opposite of what God has asked them. As they no longer examine the Bible themselves, they blindly follow the blind who lead them. That is why they are all in the pit today. My prayer is that after these teachings, you can come out of the pit in which you are already. The Lord is coming back soon, and satan has already enlisted all of you in the trap of false doctrine. Beloved: Return to the Sound Doctrine!

The very few occasions you should find yourself speaking all together in tongues at the same time, are either when you are in a moment of spiritual warfare, or when you are praying for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. For example, if there are new brethren who have accepted the Lord and have just been baptized in water, you must pray with them for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. On such occasions, you may find yourself speaking all together in tongues at the same time. But everything must be led by the Holy Spirit and not at the request of a man. In a gathering of true children of God, two or more brothers should not speak in tongues at the same time.

3.12- Does speaking in tongues make the speaker a true child of God?

The answer is NO. A person is not a true child of God simply because he speaks in tongues, and nobody becomes a true child of God by speaking in tongues. Know very well that the children of God speak in tongues, and the children of satan also speak in tongues. The fact of speaking in tongues must therefore never be used as an element of discernment to try to know true Children of God.

3.13- Are there false speaking in tongues?

Beloved, I would like to point out to you that there are false speaking in tongues, that is to say, speaking in tongues that come from satan. As I have already explained above, speaking in tongues is not a sign that proves that one is saved, or that one is a child of God. Agents of satan speak in tongues, and sometimes they even speak more than true Children of God. Children of God must pray to be able to discern these speaking in the tongues of satan.

3.14- How to recognize false speaking tongues?

It is by strictly following the Lord's instructions that you can recognize the tongues of satan. You now understand why the Lord insists on order in His house. 1Corinthians 14:26-33 says, "26What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together ... 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, two or at the most three, should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God. ... 30And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. ... 33For God is not a God of disorder but of peace ..."

The models of assemblies and church meetings you have today are models over which satan is master. He glories in it 100%. In disorder and indiscipline, it is satan who reigns. If the Lord grants us the grace to study the works of satan in the Assemblies, we will come back to this subject, and study it in detail.

In summary, know that the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues cannot be separated. I would not like to end this Teaching without giving you some elements of discernment.

4- Elements of Discernment

4.1- The so-called Christians not baptised in the Holy Spirit

Know that the baptism of the Holy Spirit does not confer on anyone the title of a true child of God. A person allegedly baptized in the Holy Spirit is not necessarily a true child of God, while a Christian not baptized with the Holy Spirit, despite knowing the teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and despite the fact that God's servants have already prayed for him on several occasions, is a sign that this alleged child of God would not be a true child of God.

4.2- The so-called Christians who do not speak in tongues

Know that the fact of speaking in tongues does not prove anything; rather, it is the fact of not speaking in tongues that proves something. This means that a person who speaks in tongues is not necessarily a true child of God, whereas a Christian who does not speak in tongues, despite knowing the teaching on speaking in tongues, and despite the fact that the servants of God have already prayed for him on several occasions, would not be of God.

4.3- The so-called Christians who shun the baptism of the Holy Spirit

If you meet so-called Christians who are not baptized in the Holy Spirit, and who shun prayer sessions for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, know that they are demons. Many of these deceivers give the impression that they are seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but whenever prayer sessions for the baptism of the Holy Spirit are organised, they use trickery to evade prayer, and pretend that they have missed these moments of prayer by an unfortunate combination of circumstances. You even find some who are present during the prayer sessions for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and who, as soon as the prayer heats up, they flee outright. These are fearsome sorcerers on mission among God's Children. A true child of God does not run away from the Holy Spirit, nor does he feel comfortable without the Holy Spirit and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

4.4- The so-called Christians who fight the baptism of the Holy Spirit

Sometimes when you start the prayer for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, there are people who feel uncomfortable, and are ready to run away if given the opportunity. When they do not run away, it is simply because they are stuck. After the prayer session, they are usually angry, and desperately try to find some grounds for slander or blasphemy to justify their attitude.

You have some who complain by saying that they were encouraged to open their mouth before speaking in tongues, as if it is generally with the mouth closed that one speaks. These agents of satan, when they do not find real grounds for accusation against God and against Children of God, fabricate them. The people of satan will never lack subjects of accusation against us. Remember that such people are agents of satan on mission among the Children of God.

You also have some who say they are scandalized to see the children of God waging warfare in tongues. They show themselves very agitated, disturbed, and give the impression of not knowing that speaking in tongues is biblical. You will recognise some of these agents of satan. When you organise moments of spiritual warfare, they cannot stand it. The presence of the fire of God during warfare prayer sessions seriously destabilises them. These people are agents of satan on a mission among the people of God. These demons generally do not last very long in the Church. They desert after only a short time, sometimes by creating some false reasons, sometimes without reasons. You must keep away from this kind of demons if you do not want to grow cold in your walk with God. Remember that every true child of God feels comfortable in the presence of God.

4.5- The so-called servants of God who deny
the baptism of the Holy Spirit

If you meet so-called pastors or servants of God who deny and fight the baptism of the Holy Spirit, know that they are agents of satan. And they are very numerous in the Church today. Of this number are those who say that the baptism of the Holy Spirit was only for the first disciples. So do not fall into the trap of these demons who tell you that we do not need the Holy Spirit baptism.

4.6- The so-called servants of God who deny speaking in tongues

You also meet other so-called servants of God who tell you that they are baptized with the Holy Spirit, but who deny speaking in tongues. Know that they are demons from the world of darkness to turn you away from the way of God. Depart from them.

4.7- The so-called servants of God who do not speak in tongues

By this, you will recognize demons: If you meet pastors or other so-called servants of God who do not speak in tongues, and who are against the baptism of the Holy Spirit, know that they are demons. I have emphasized the word "and", because we can meet pastors who do not speak in tongues, just because they do not even know that there is a speaking in tongues. Since nowadays, in blindness and error, everyone can become a pastor, you even find pagans who have already been appointed pastors. In this case, they may not be demons, but just pagans, who should accept Jesus Christ and take their water baptism again, and then give up that false title they were given.

But if you instead come across so-called servants of God who do not speak in tongues, and who know that there is a speaking in tongues, and who are against speaking in tongues, know that they are demons. Generally, to deceive the children of God, these demons say that on the day of Pentecost, when the disciples spoke in tongues, the people around them heard them; a way of saying that if one speaks in tongues, people around them must automatically hear them, that is to say, they must understand what they are saying. This is a real satanic reasoning, a demonic deception, to discourage children of God, so that they do not use this warfare gift that the Lord has given them. These demons are unaware that it is not only in Acts 2 that brethren spoke in tongues. In Acts 10:44-46, brethren spoke in tongues. In Acts 19:6 brethren also spoke in tongues. Did those around them hear them? Beloved, run away from deceivers!

5- Conclusion

Beloved, as I have pointed out to you above, you cannot serve God without being clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit. I also want to awaken your spirit in relation to spiritual warfare. Whether you are of those who fight or of those who sleep, know that satan is actively fighting you. You must therefore wake up at last from your sleep, and start fighting. When you pray in tongues, you send great weapons in the enemy’s camp. Therefore do not prevent yourselves from praying in tongues. When you spend a single day without praying in tongues, you leave the field free for satan and his agents. The more you intercede in tongues, the more you are strong spiritually, and the more you win the victory for the people of God. Therefore, do not be surprised that the demon-pastors are depriving you of this weapon, telling you that speaking in tongues no longer exists.

I urge the elders to make sure they spend enough time every day interceding in tongues, and I urge the faithful to do the same. Do not limit yourself. As long as the Lord gives you strength, intercede. I prefer not to recommend a minimum of time, since as soon as a minimum of time is recommended, brethren limit themselves to this minimum each time, even when they can do more.

You children of God who still spend your time behind the television screens, convert that time you are wasting, into time of intercession, and you will see the result. Hallelujah!

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love!

Invitation

Dear brothers and sisters,

If you have run away from fake churches and would like to know what to do, here are the two options available to you:

1- See if around you there are some other children of God who fear God and desire to live according to the Sound Doctrine. If you find any, feel free to join them.

2- If you do not find one and wish to join us, our doors are open to you. The only thing we will ask you to do is to first read all the Teachings that the Lord has given us, and which are on our website www.mcreveil.org, to reassure yourself that they are in conformity with the Bible. If you find them in accordance with the Bible, and are ready to submit to Jesus Christ, and live by the demands of His word, we will gladly welcome you.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you!
